Why does the Designer give prices for fonts and colours? The price is always 0.00.The price is not always 0.00. Up to 5 different fonts, and 2 colours are included in the basic price. After this, fonts are charged at £2.95 each, and colours are charged at £4.95 each. |
Why does the Designer charge me £0.95 for letters when I've just used a graphic (and no letters)? There is a basic letter price of £0.95 per order. This pays for the cost of the squeegee. |
I've just ordered a set of transfers for my van. Do you send one transfer per panel? In general yes. Sometimes, application is easier if the panel is split into two transfers, and this often happens in two scenarios. One, where there's some space between, say, a graphic, and a checklist - and in this case two transfers are sent for the one panel. Two, where your panel has some large lettering/graphics and some small lettering/graphics - in this case the large lettering/graphics would be sent on a blue film transfer, the small on a clear. (See next question) |
I've just received my transfers, and some graphics are on blue transfer film, some on clear. Why the difference? To make for the easiest possible application, we supply larger and outlined letters/graphics on blue low tack film. To minimize bubbles, lettering/graphics on blue transfer film should generally be applied wet. Smaller letters/graphics are supplied on clear regular tack film. |

How do I submit my own logo so I can use it in my design? Please send a file of your logo to info@tradegraphics.co.uk. Note that we cannot produce photographic images, just simple graphics using block colours. It helps if you send us your logo as a vector file (such as .ai, .cdr or .pdf) rather than a bitmap file (such as .jpg or .gif). It also helps if you can tell us the name of any fonts used. |
Why can't I mirror window graphics in my vehicle layout? If you apply vinyl lettering to the inside of vehicle windows, you will discover that the vinyl 'welds' itself to the window because of the heater wires, and is virtually impossible to remove without damaging the heater wires. So the Designer's mirroring feature is disabled for vehicles. Vinyl letters are best applied to the outside of vehicle windows (though this has the problem that you cannot use your rear windscreen wipers without risking damage to your lettering). |
I'm trying to retrieve an old design but with no luck. Has it been deleted?Designs older than 6 months are archived, but can be retrieved. Just send an email to info@tradegraphics.co.uk quoting your design name, and it will be made available again. |
Why is the price for outlined letters triple that for standard letters? For an outlined letter we cut 2 letters, a background letter and a foreground letter, then position the foreground letters on top of the background letters by hand. This process takes significant working time. Please note that even if the colour of the inner letter matches the vehicle (or background) colour, we always supply both letters, not just the outlining. |
